Earlier this month, former NMU North Wind advisor Cheryl Reed was informed by the newspaper’s board that she would not be re-hired. Also, Michael Williams, who was the only applicant for the vacant Editor-in-Chief position, was turned down. Both Reed and Williams felt like those decisions were made due to a strained relationship between the North Wind and NMU regarding some controversial stories that the paper had published about the university.
In this exclusive interview, ABC 10 sat down with both Reed and Williams to get their side of the story. They will talk about the events leading up to that board meeting, as well as their pending lawsuit.
