Reed and Williams speak out on North Wind controversy

This weekend on ABC 10’s In Focus, we have an exclusive interview with Cheryl Reed and Michael Williams, the two people involved in the controversy at NMU’s North Wind newspaper. Earlier this month, the North Wind board decided against both re–hiring Reed and also against hiring William for the Editor–in–Chief position, even though he was the only person who applied.

“They were not happy about the way the newspaper had been run and they were under the impression that, if they just removed me, then all this investigative stuff would go away, that I was the culprit…I was pushing the students to do all this,” Reed said.
