Heroin suspect enters guilty plea
IRONWOOD — An Ironwood man will be sentenced on a heroin charge in May.
James Schaus, 36, pleaded guilty to one count of delivery or manufacture of cocaine, heroin, or another narcotic less than fifty grams in Gogebic County Circuit Court. That is a felony count punishable by up to twenty years in prison and a fine of $25,000.
Schaus was originally charged with an additional delivery or manufacture count and two counts of delivery or possession of a controlled substance in a park, within a thousand feet. He was arrested during a drug bust on Oak Street in Ironwood in early December along with four other area residents.
Schaus will be sentenced May 5th.
