Hampton Inn “National Lighthouse Award Winner”
MARQUETTE — An award winning place to rest your head is located in Marquette.
The Hampton Inn Waterfront Hotel has been named the National Lighthouse Award Winner among two thousand Hampton Hotels. The Marquette waterfront location won the award based on cleanliness, customer service and its’ amenities.
“Our cleanliness scores consistently rank in the top 10 of all Hampton Hotels, so that is really good feedback we get from our guests. I am most proud of our staff, they are what set us apart. Our building here on Lake Superior and in downtown Marquette really does help but it’s the staff that sets us apart from our competition,” said Reed Benton, Hampton Inn Hotel General Manager.
The hotel is four stories, has eighty–four rooms and is the only hotel in the area with a saltwater pool and it is American Disabilities Approved. It also had a hot tub, flat screen TV’s in all of the rooms and a workout facility, not to mention the view. This is the hotels second time in a row winning the award. The award is called the lighthouse award as the Hampton brand sees itself as a beacon of hospitality.
