Gremlins fall in state title game

PLYMOUTH – The dream season for the Houghton Gremlins hockey team ended in the Division 3 state title game Saturday, as the Gremlins fell to Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook, 4-0.

Cranbrook scored three times in the first ten minutes of the game and they never looked back. The Gremlins did have a chance to get back into the game, but they were unable to covert on a five-minute powerplay opportunity.

Houghton goaltender Marcus Gloss stopped 46 shots in the game. Cranbrook outshot the Gremlins 50-13.

The Gremlins finish the season with a 24-5-2 record.
