Uttering and publishing suspect pleads guilty

MARQUETTE — A downstate man involved in an uttering and publishing case entered a plea agreement in Marquette County Circuit Friday morning.

Joseph Domako of St. Clair Shores pleaded guilty to knowing, retention, or use of a financial transaction device without consent, a felony punishable by four years in prison and a $5,000 fine. Domako was originally charged with four counts of uttering and publishing after being arrested while attempting to open an account and pass a counterfeit check at the main Wells Fargo branch in Marquette in December.

Domako was set to be released on his own recognizance, and he will appear for sentencing April 17th.
