CRIVITZ, Wisc. — Three people were arrested Sunday following a drug investigation in the Upper Peninsula and Wisconsin.

The Northeast Tri-County Drug Enforcement Group and the KIND Drug Enforcement Group arrested a 46-year-old Othello, Wash., man, a 33-year-old Iron Mountain man, and a 36-year-old Kingsford woman for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine over 50 grams. Two of the suspects were also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

The arrests occurred after KIND officers received information about a man traveling by Amtrak to Milwaukee carrying an unknown amount of crystal meth. The man was supposed to be picked up by individuals from the Kingsford and Iron Mountain area. Police say the suspect vehicle left the Iron Mountain area around 10:45 a.m. and was stopped in Crivitz shortly after 7:00 p.m. A K-9 alerted law enforcement to methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

The Marinette Police Department, Marinette County Sheriff’s Office, and the Crivitz Police Department assisted KIND and NTDECG with the investigation.
