Westwood’s Corcoran suspended for one game
WEST ISHPEMING – ABC 10 Sports learned Wednesday that Westwood girls varsity basketball coach Kurt Corcoran has been suspended for one game.
A source tells ABC 10 Sports that Corcoran was suspended for his actions at Monday’s boys basketball game between Westwood and Ishpeming. According to a source, Corcoran encouraged the Westwood student section to cheer against the Ishpeming boys’ basketball team during Monday’s game.
ABC 10 Sports attempted to contact NICE Community Schools and Corcoran, but our phone calls were not returned. Corcoran will be suspended for Thursday’s game at Gladstone. He is eligible to return to coaching the Lady Patriots on Friday when they host Manistique.
