One person sought treatment for injuries following two accidents involving four cars on US-41 around 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

Troopers from the Negaunee Post of the Michigan State Police say Michael Wunder, 23, of Marquette, was traveling westbound on the highway when he attempted to turn left into the WalMart parking lot. His vehicle was hit by an oncoming pickup driven by John Wiggers, 43, of White Cloud.

Wiggers made the attempt to avoid Wunder’s car, which caused a second collision.

Police say Curtis Noel, 51, was traveling eastbound on US-41 and swerved to avoid Wiggers’ vehicle. He then hit a car, driven by Jaycie Weiland, 35, of Gwinn, stopped at the light waiting to turn right from the WalMart parking lot.

Weiland sought her own treatment for injuries. All four drivers were alone in their vehicles and all were wearing seat belts.

Wunder was found at fault and cited for failing to yield to oncoming traffic.
