Gun stolen in U.P. armed robbery recovered in Milwaukee

MENOMINEE TOWNSHIP — A handgun stolen during a kidnapping and armed robbery incident in Menominee Township has been recovered in Wisconsin.

Troopers from the Gladstone Post of the Michigan State Police say the Milwaukee Police Department notified them Tuesday that the handgun was recovered in Milwaukee during a shooting incident.

The gun was stolen along with other personal property on December 7, when troopers say three men from out of the area accosted and bound four people inside a private residence. The suspects fled the scene before law enforcement was notified.

The Menominee County Prosecutor’s Office says that no charges have been filed in the kidnapping and armed robbery yet, and the case is still under review.
