Upper Peninsula Weather Forecast 12/30-31

Tuesday brought more cold air to the region, as highs only topped off in the single digits. Skies will clear partially tonight, allowing for bone chilling overnight lows, as winds increase. For those reasons, a wind chill advisory in in effect for Marquette, Menominee, Dickinson, Iron, Baraga, Gogebic, Ontonagon, and Southern Houghton counties from 11pm EST tonight until 10am tomorrow. Winds chills can fall as low -20 to -30 degrees. Lows temps for the night will fall to the upper single digits below zero, while west winds blow between 15 to 20 miles per hour.

Weather Forecast:

Wednesday will be a brutal day across the region, with frigid temps and breezy winds continuing. High temps will reach the mid teens, while southwest winds will zip by at 15 to 25 miles per hour, with gusts around 30 miles per hour.

New Year’s Eve, we’ll remain mostly cloudy, as temps stay chilly. Lows will bottom out in the mid teens, while shift out of the west at 15 to 20 miles per hour. Expect light snow and milder temps for the first day of 2015, as highs make their way back into the upper teens. Have a Happy New Year!!
