“Carols in the Cathedral” this weekend

If you are looking for a bit of entertainment this weekend, the Marquette Choral Society has it’s annual “Carols in the Cathedral” this weekend. The choir will be forming at one of the U.P’s most beautiful and historic buildings, the Saint Peter Cathedral.

The choir has been in existence for more than 40 years and will be performing a bit of traditional, seasonal as well as some audience sing–a–long songs.

Floyd Slotterback, Director of the Marquette Choral Society describes their music, “We mostly do what you would consider concert music for choir. We sing a variety of of music from Mozart to sacred music in latin and even jazz inspired music.”

The Saint Peter Cathedral is located in downtown Marquette at 311 W. Baraga Ave. Saturday the concert starts at 7:30 P.M. and on Sunday at 3:00 P.M. and it is free of charge.
