Driver cited for speed after Ishpeming Township rollover accident

ISHPEMING TOWNSHIP — No injuries were reported in a rollover accident that happened Thursday morning in Ishpeming Township.

Troopers from the Michigan State Police say the incident occurred around 7:40 a.m. A female driver was heading eastbound on US-41 shortly before Aspen Ridge School Road when she lost control of her Jeep Cherokee, crossing the center line and rolling over onto the opposite side of the road.

The State Police and the Ishpeming Township Fire Department responded to the scene. Anttila’s Towing was brought in to remove the vehicle, and responders left the scene at approximately 8:45 a.m.

The driver of the vehicle was cited for driving too fast for conditions. Troopers would like to remind drivers to slow down on the wintry roads.
