Girls Tennis: Negaunee wins U.P. D-1 Title

KINGSFORD – In 2012, the Negaunee Miners shared the Upper Peninsula Division 1 Girls Tennis championship with Kingsford. Two years later, Negaunee has a title all to themselves.

The Miners won four of the eight flights (No. 1, 2, 3 singles, No. 2 doubles) to secure the championship. Negaunee finished the day with 19 points. Kingsford finished in second place with 13 points. Escanaba rounded out the top three with 11 points.
