Redettes win their own volleyball tournament
MARQUETTE – It’s always nice to win a volleyball tournament, especially when it’s in your own backyard, or in this case, your own gym. The Marquette Redettes defeated Hancock, 25 – 18, 18 – 25, 15 – 13, to win the Marquette Invitational.
“The level of volleyball was good throughout the day and it was only fitting that the final ended up as a great high school match between two very skilled teams. All three sets were tightly contested with long rallies and great plays on both sides of the net. I am very proud of the effort our girls put in and it is great to see them rewarded for that effort,” said Redettes head coach Mike Morgan.
