Rafalski elected to U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame

Former Detroit Red Wings defenseman and Michigan native Brian Rafalski has been elected to the United States Hockey Hall of Fame. The 40–year–old Rafalski had a solid career in the NHL.

Rafalski won three Stanley Cups– two with the Devils and one with the Red Wings– in his 11–year pro career. He made three appearances in the Olympics, winning a pair of silver medals with the U.S. team.

Rafalski will be inducted into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Dec. 4 in Minnesota at a location to be determined.
