Fomer Pistons player signs with rival Pacers
Rodney Stuckey has left the Detroit Pistons for another team in the Central Division. Stuckey agreed to a one–year deal with the Indiana Pacers on Thursday.
ESPN was the first to report the story about the now former Pistons guard. Stuckey spent seven seasons in Detroit. He was the team’s top pick in the 2007 NBA Draft, the No. 15 overall selection out of Eastern Washington University.
Stuckey averaged 13.9 ppg last season for Detroit. He replaces Lance Stephenson in the Pacers lineup. Stephenson agreed to a three-year deal earlier this week with the Charlotte Hornets.
Stuckey’s best season in Detroit was the 2009-10 campaign, when he averaged 16 ppg. Detroit was not expected to re-sign Stuckey.
