High school student wins Blueberry Festival poster contest
The winner of this year’s Blueberry Festival Poster Contest has been announced.
Kyle Wilkin, a high school senior from downstate Westland, won the contest with a poster he simply called “Blueberries.” He used Adobe Photoshop to create a digital illustration of three paint-splattered blueberries. It’s now the official 2014 Blueberry Festival Poster and will be used on all promotional materials.
The winning entry was selected by the Marquette community through online voting and a ballot box, and a panel of judges made up of business owners and Marquette Downtown Development Authority staff.
Marquette’s Blueberry Fest is set to begin July 25th.
