Jandron to play two sports at UW-Parkside
When most high school athletes continue their athletic careers at the next level, they usually focus on playing just one sport. But one U.P. athlete plans on playing two different sports once he gets to Wisconsin–Parkside.
Negaunee high school standout Tyler Jandron has committed to play both baseball and basketball for the Rangers. Jandron said he will likely red shirt for the upcoming basketball season, but he has a chance to play baseball right away. Tyler’s older brother Tony, played two sports in college, so Tyler has an idea of what he’s in for.
“I talked to my brother a lot about playing two sports and it’s really busy,” said Jandron. “I’m really focused on getting bigger and stronger so I can compete at the next level.”
Right now, Jandron is focused on baseball. The Miners play their first District game next Friday.
