Police pursue motorcycle in Dickinson County

Police are looking for the driver of a motorcycle involved in a pursuit yesterday afternoon in Breitung Township.

Troopers from the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post say the vehicle was observed committing several traffic violations just after 2 p.m. A trooper attempted to pull over the motorcycle, but the driver failed to stop at a red light at the intersection of Lake Antoine Road and US–2. The trooper then pursued the vehicle into Quinnesec before terminating the pursuit for safety reasons.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a red motocross bike. The driver was wearing a red long–sleeved motocross shirt with black stripes under the arms and a white and gray full face helmet with a black graphic design.

Troopers ask that anyone with information regarding the vehicle or its driver call the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post at (906) 774-2122.
