A Marquette man pled guilty to an aggravated assault, domestic violence charge Monday in District Court.

Daniel Summers, 43, was originally charged with one count of felony child abuse in the third degree, stemming from an incident in February 2013 in which he is accused of physically harming his five-year-old daughter.

That charge was reduced to a one-year misdemeanor, to which he pled guilty.

Summers is now scheduled for sentencing on March 3.  If convicted, he could face up to a year in jail and/or a $1,000 fine.
