Man crashes snowmobile, injures head
An Iron Mountain man injured his head after a snowmobile crash in Dickinson County.
Troopers from the Iron Mountain Post of the Michigan State Police say Kyle Erickson, 40, lost control of his snowmobile and drove into a group of pine tress where he struck his head on several branches.
The incident happened on private property around 3:30 Friday afternoon on County Road 607 near Johnson Road in Breitung Township.
Troopers say Erickson was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Erickson walked to his residence and was transported to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital for treatment. There is no word on the extent of his injuries.
Integrated First Response Ambulance assisted the Michigan State Police at the scene.
