Manistique man charged with criminal sexual conduct
A Manistique man will return to 93rd District Court next Monday on criminal sexual conduct charges.
Daniel Corwin, 46, has been arraigned on six felony counts and one misdemeanor count. The felonies are four counts of first-degree CSC, one count of second-degree CSC and one count of accosting a child for immoral purposes. The misdemeanor is an assault and battery charge. He could serve a life sentence if convicted of first-degree CSC.
Michigan State Police from the St. Ignace Post arrested Corwin last Thursday after investigating a number of sexual assault cases in Manistique.
He’s being held in the Schoolcraft County Jail, and his preliminary exam is scheduled for next Monday.
