Sall to face his former team
The scheduled GLIAC men’s basketball game on Saturday, Jan. 18 between Ferris State and Northern Michigan University will not be ‘just another game’ for one of the coaches involved in the contest.
Wildcats head coach Bill Sall will face his former team for the first time since he left the Bulldogs for NMU. Sall spent eleven seasons as the head coach at Ferris State. During his time in Big Rapids, the Bulldogs won four GLIAC North Division titles and made three appearances in the NCAA Division II tournament.
“It’s going to be hard to see them on the other side of the floor. It’s been hard enough just watching some film and seeing them play,” said Sall. “Everybody has moved on. I’m sure those guys are going to be ready to show the old coach what they can do.”
Tip-off between the Wildcats and Bulldogs is set for 1 p.m. at the Berry Events Center.
