Man arrested for marijuana pleads guilty, opts out of trial
A Dickinson County man who had a trial scheduled for next week opted to plead guilty to a lesser charge.
Mark Baker, 52, of Channing pled no contest to delivery and manufacture of marijuana as a habitual offender, second offense.
He was originally charged with delivery and manufacture of between five and 45 kilograms of marijuana, as a habitual offender, third offense.
A trial was scheduled in Dickinson County Circuit Court for January 21, but instead Baker will be sentenced in June.
Baker was arrested last May at a residence in Channing by Troopers from the Iron Mountain Post of the Michiagn State Police.
Troopers found marijuana plants and process material with a street value of more than $121, 000.
