NMU women’s hoops fall to Eagles
The Northern Michigan University women’s basketball team suffered its first conference loss of the season, 74-60 to Ashland on Thursday night. The Wildcats are now 6-1 in games against Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponents.
Alyssa Colla led NMU with 10 points. Abbey DeBruin grabbed a team high 11 rebounds. The Wildcats outrebounded Ashland 45-34 in the game.
The loss to the Eagles drops NMU’s overall record to 9-2. The Wildcats will play against Lake Erie on Saturday, Jan. 11 beginning at 1 p.m.
