NMU hockey team to play at Bemidji
The Northern Michigan University Wildcats will begin the new year on the road at Bemidji State against the Beavers.
The Wildcats are currently in a tie for 8th place in the conference with nine points, but NMU has only played ten WCHA games. Everyone else in the conference has played two or even four more conference contests than the ‘Cats.
This is a big series for both teams. The Beavers last win was back on Nov. 23 against Lake State. The Wildcats last win was also on Nov. 23 against Alabama Huntsville.
NMU will have to keep an eye on Beavers senior forward Corey Ward. He leads Bemidji State this season in the goals department with 12.
Puck drop from Bemidji is set for 8:37 p.m. on Friday and a half hour earlier at 8:07 p.m. on Saturday.
