NMU’s Mattson lands three guards
Northern Michigan University women’s basketball coach Troy Mattson has added three players during the early signing period. Chloe Tompkins, Tess Weatherly, and Darby Youngstrom will begin playing for the Wildcats come the 2014-15 season.
Tompkins is a 6’0” guard at Kettle Moraine High School in Wales, Wis. She averaged 9.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game last season.
Weatherly is a 6’0″ guard is from downstate Howell High School. She averages 10.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.
Youngstrom is a 5’10” guard from Northwoods High School in Cook, Minn. She averages 23.4 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. Youngstrom is a three-time first team all-conference and all-county selection.
