Semi-truck hits house in Ishpeming
No one was injured after a semi–truck hit a house in Ishpeming Monday evening.
The accident happened around 6:30 on Marquette Street.
The Ishpeming Volunteer Fire Department says the driver of the semi–truck was looking for an address in Negaunee, but a GPS instructed the driver to turn down Marquette Street.
The driver tried to make a left turn, but turned too sharply and hit the southeast corner of a home.
Power was cut to the surrounding homes because a power line landed on top of the semi-truck. The trailer of the semi had a few construction supplies, but not enough to cause concern of the truck tipping over.
The residents of the house were home at the time of the accident. No one was injured in the accident.
