Bulldogs edge Huskies in Houghton
The Michigan Tech Huskies football team couldn’t hold off Ferris State on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Sherman Field. Tech had a 27-10 lead midway through the third quarter, only to watch the Bulldogs score the final 20 points of the game to win it 30-27.
Ferris State quarterback Jason Vander Laan connected with Dontae Ingraham for a 15-yard touchdown pass at the beginning of the fourth quarter to put the Bulldogs ahead for good.
The Huskies are now 4-3 after the loss to Ferris State. Charlie Leffingwell led Tech on offense with 111 rushing yards on 24 carries and a touchdown.
Michigan Tech will play at home next week on Saturday, Nov. 2 against Saginaw Valley State. Kickoff from Sherman Field is set for 1 p.m.
