Haunted Hayrides in Marquette Co.
It may be getting chilly outside, but there is a whole different ‘chill’ happening in Marquette County.
Adults and kids looking for a scare will find it at the fairgrounds turned into ‘scaregrounds’ in Sands Township this weekend.
It is the fourth year for the Haunted Halloween Hayrides, and it gets a little more fright–ful each year.
“A haunted hayride through the fairgrounds that last about 24 minutes long, and when they hayride ends then you walk through two haunted houses,” Hayride volunteer Andi Goriesky said. “All this is put on strictly by volunteers. The youth groups that are out working in the field, we have about 12 groups. Each groups consists of about 15–20 people.”
The Haunted Hayride is not recommended for children under five-years-old. The hayride runs October 18-19, from 7:30-11 p.m.
It costs $10 for adults, and $5 for children. All of the money raised goes back to these volunteer groups.
