Marquette party store robber still sought
The Marquette Police are still looking to the public for help to find the suspect who robbed a party store on Wednesday night. It happened at Valle’s Corner Convenience Party Store on West Hewitt Street at about 10:45 p.m.
Police say a white male suspect wearing a hood and a mask entered the store, brandished a knife and demanded money from a woman cashier. The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of money and fled northbound from the store on foot.
The suspect is described as having a slender build and was wearing dark clothes, a makeshift mask and tennis shoes. Police believe he’s the same person who was seen acting suspiciously near the Blue Link Party Store on Third Street before the robbery.
Officers searched neighborhoods near the convenience store using a K-9 unit.
Anyone with additional information is being asked to call the Marquette Police Department at (906) 228-0400.
