Online marketplace connecting job seekers and employers
Seeking and landing a new job after college or finding the right employee for your business can be a stressful process.
A collaborative effort by the State of Michigan’s Workforce Development Agency and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation has helped make the search a bit easier.
Pure Michigan Talent Connect serves as an online marketplace that connects Michigan’s job seekers and employers to one another.
NMU hosted a training session to help users get the most out of the new service.
The website has already proven to be effective and secure due to the in depth validation process handled by Michigan’s Workforce Development Agency.
“They actually go through, once you create your account, and validate that your and FEIN and your organizations name match, and that you are a valid organization,” John Redwine from Pure Michigan Talent Connect said. “Once that is created, the only people that are able to use this are valid employers. There will be minimal amount of spamming going on.”
Those who attended were given detailed demonstrations on all the features the website has to offer for both the job seeking and employer end.
Over 66,000 job postings have already been made on the service.
More information and a video tutorial on effectively utilizing the website can be found in the ‘About Us’ section on Pure Michigan Talent Connect’s home page.
