Entrepreneurial panel at NMU
Northern Michigan University’s UNITED conference is wrapping up its final day Thursday.
Students and the public were able to listen to an entrepreneur panel, all of whom have ties to the Upper Peninsula.
The focus of the panel was to teach students how to make their own mark in the universe, and what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur.
“Don’t ever think if you’re going to be an entrepreneur that you have to do everything, because you’re going to fail,” Founder of the U.P. Children’s Museum and panelist Nheena Weyer Ittner said. “You need to have the right people around you, and you have to have the right skill sets that your business can go forward with.”
“You are really the sole core of what you’re investing in. And if you believe in yourself you can do anything, anything.”
Other panelists included Tom Vear, owner of Donckers, and Bob Stefanski, co–founder of Tibco Software.
