Armed robbery suspect pleads not guilty
A suspect involved in an armed robbery in August pled not guilty to seven counts in Baraga County Circuit Court Tuesday.
Donovan Lee Waupoose’s case was bound over to Circuit Court Monday morning.
He is facing multiple charges stemming from his involvement in an alleged armed robbery in Watton, and another possible robbery in Long Lake, Wisconsin.
Waupoose was arrested in Stephenson on August 5.
He is charged with two counts each of Armed Robbery, Extortion, Unlawful Imprisonment and one count of Impersonating a Police Officer to Commit a Crime.
Waupoose is expected to have a pretrial conference within the next thirty days.
Troopers from the Calumet Post of the Michigan State Police say Waupoose’s alleged accomplice, Bernard Fish, is still at large.
