Chippewa Co. man headed to trial in meth lab case
A Sault Ste. Marie man will be going to trial after backing out of a plea agreement back in August in a meth lab case.
Cody McCoy, 20, has opted to go to trial instead. McCoy will be going to trial on December 11 in Chippewa County District Court.
McCoy faces twelve felony counts that range from Possession of Meth and Operating and Maintaining a Meth Lab, to Conspiracy to Deliver Meth or Ecstasy.
Shelby Gauthier, 21, is also facing a dozen felony counts in the same case. Her trial is scheduled to begin on October 9.
The Straits Area Narcotics Enforcement Team–or S.A.N.E.–arrested the pair in March.
