High-speed chase suspect arraigned
A 22 year–old man who led police on a high speed chase in two Upper Peninsula counties was arraigned in Marquette County Circuit Court Friday.
Robert Tyler Johnson of Wilson is charged with Fleeing an Eluding Police and Operating while Impaired. Two other counts, Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated and Driver Fail Maintenance were nollied.
Johnson allegedly fled from police during a traffic stop last month in Marquette County’s Skandia Township.
A police say Johnson led them on an 25 minute, high–speed chase before he lost control of his motorcycle turning around on a gravel shoulder on U.S. 2 in Delta County.
Johnson will be sentenced on October 11.
