Jail time and probation for break-in
An Iron River man has been sentenced to nine months in jail for breaking and entering.
However, 23-year-old Kyle Remer could have his case reviewed again by a judge in two months.
After that time, Remer could be admitted to the Michigan Swift and Sure program if a judge agrees.
The Swift and Sure program is an intensive probation supervision program.
Remer was also sentenced to two years of probation.
Prosecutors dismissed a larceny in a building charge against him in exchange for his guilty plea to the breaking and entering charge.
Remer broke into the Northland Marathon gas station in Caspian in March.
Cigarettes and alcohol were stolen from the store.
