Former Huskies sign pro hockey deals
Two former Michigan Tech hockey players will continue their careers at the next level. Former defenseman and captain Carl Nielsen has singed a contract with the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.
The Crunch plan to move Nielsen from a defenseman to a forward. Nielsen played in two games last season for Syracuse on an amateur tryout contract.
Former Huskies forward Steven Seigo has signed a deal with Turun Palloseura (TPS) of the Finnish Elite League. In his four year career at Michigan Tech, Seigo scored 75 points (16 goals, 59 assists) in 150 games.
