Man charged in Delta Co. home invasion
A man facing home invasion charges is in jail in Delta County.
Jacob Calouette, 28, was arraigned in Delta County District Court Monday, charged with first degree Home Invasion.
Troopers from the Gladstone Post of the Michigan State Police were called to a home in Ford River Township the 5:30 a.m. Sunday on a report of a male intruder inside.
The suspect was chased outside by the homeowner.
Police set up a perimeter and brought in a K-9 unit from Gladstone Public Safety to track the man. Calouette was taken into custody just before 7 a.m., as he attempted to cross a nearby roadway.
Caloutte is scheduled for a preliminary exam on August 22.
