Man facing three charges after assaulting police
Nicholas Micheau, 34, is behind bars after breaking his court ordered bond conditions and violently resisting arrest.
He was arraigned in Delta County District Court Monday.
Micheau is charged with Malicious Destruction of Fire or Police Property and two counts of Police Officer Assault/Resisting/Obstructing.
The charges stem from Friday afternoon when Gladstone Public Safety Officers went to check on Micheau and a 14-year-old boy at 513 Wisconsin Avenue.
Officers determined that Micheau was intoxicated and in violation of his court–ordered bond conditions. When officers tried to arrest him, Micheau reportedly assaulted two officers and knocked out the rear window of a patrol car.
