Signs Now celebrates 15 years
Keeping a business afloat is never easy, and tough economic times can make it tougher.
Signs Now is in the business of promoting business – through creating a wide range of sign and graphics solutions.
The company first took off with only two employees: owner Mark Pynnonen and his wife.
Mark attributes his business’s success over the years to two main factors.
“Focusing on the customer and staffing… People that we have working here. You can get signs from a lot of different places, including over the Internet,” he said. “But, understanding your customers, working with your customers, satisfying their need, and asking the right questions to figure out what the want. Sometimes they don’t know what they want and sometimes they think they want one thing, but something else is better suited for their needs that they don’t even know about.”
Though technological changes are constant in the company, Signs Now has never changed its focus on customer satisfaction and kept up with advancements in the industry.
“I think what i enjoyed most about the last 15 years, and I don’t see this changing at all, is the variety of work that we do… Both in the products we produce as well as the customers that we deal with. Each customer has different needs so whether it be simple vinyl cut lettering, vehicle wraps or window graphics, its all different and I enjoy that part the most,” added Pynnonen.
Signs Now has been operating in the Upper Peninsula since 1998.
