Presque Isle Walking Tour planned
The Marquette Regional History Center will go back in time as part of the “Presque Isle Walking Tour” in August.
Professor John Anderton and Jim Koski will conduct a walking tour of Presque Isle. Participants will learn the interesting geological history, as well as many other interesting facts about the cultural history of the ‘Island.’ From the early explorers in the early 1600-1700s to contemporary times, Presque Isle has a unique history.
If you plan to attend, organizers say you should wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk over uneven ground.
There is a $5 suggested donation for this event. Visit www.marquette history.org or call 906-226-3571 for more info on this event.
It will begin at 6#0 p.m. Wednesday, August 7, at the Presque Isle band shell.
