Mqt. man injured after being hit by car
A fifty-one year-old Marquette man was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car in Marquette Friday night.
The Marquette City Police Department says the accident happened just before 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of S. Front Street and Genesee Street.
Police say as the man crossed S. Front Street, a vehicle had slowed down in the curb lane to let him cross, but another vehicle, a 2001 Nissan, was in the left lane and unable to stop. The Nissan, driven by a 34-year-old Eben man, collided with the man.
He was taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment of severe injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
