Blues Festival announces musical acts Thursday
The Marquette Area Blues Festival is celebrating its ten year anniversary this year. Thursday night in Marquette, this year’s blues acts will be released.
For the last decade, blues musicians have come to Marquette to put on a show for fans.
Thursday at the Ore Dock Brewery, the Marquette Area Blues Society is hosting a 2013 festival line–up roll out party.
“Since this is our tenth year we wanted to make it special and let everybody know what the lineups going to be for this year,” Director of the Marquette Area Blues Festival Mark Hamari said.
“Basically it’s a chance for us to get together and socialize, have a little bit of music and then we’re going to play some of the music from some of the acts that are going to be coming up. And we’ll make an official announcement of whose going to be here this year.”
The slate of performers and musical groups will also feature a number of local artists, including the popular Flat Broke Blues Band.
The roll out party starts at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
