Subway robbery case sent to Circuit Ct.
The court case against a Wisconsin man accused of robbing Subway restaurants in Escanaba has taken a step forward.
Fifty-one-year-old Brook Grzelak of Green Bay had his preliminary exam in Delta County District Court this afternoon.
He’s been bound over to Circuit Court because a judge has ruled that there’s enough evidence against him for the case to go to trial.
No Circuit Court appearance dates have been scheduled for him yet.
Grzelak is charged with two counts of breaking and entering with intent, two counts of safebreaking and one count of possession of burglary tools.
He was the suspect in a December 2012 investigation involving robberies of two Subway restaurants in Escanaba.
Grzelak may have to face additional criminal charges from various jurisdictions in Wisconsin for other similar incidents.
