Dompierre wins fitness award

He is an inspiration to other athletes with down syndrome, a high school football state champion, and a U.P. celebrity.

Now, Eric Dompierre can add ‘fitness award winner’ to his list of accomplishments his senior year.

Earlier today, Dompierre was named the winner of the ‘Charles T. Kuntztleman Accepting the Challenge’ award.

Dompierre was one of three finalists up for the award. He accepted the award from Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder earlier today at the Capitol in Lansing.
