State Reps. Dianda and Kivela promote FinnFest
The excitement for Hancock’s FinnFest is not only felt in the Copper Country, but it is starting to spread throughout the whole state of Michigan.
The blue and white chairs were made by artists and displayed as a way to promote the festival in June. The promotion was organized by Copper Country artist Mary Wright.
Wright had one of the chair available for State Representative Scott Dianda (Calumet). He took one of the chairs back to his office in Lansing last week. Representative Dianda, Representative John Kivela (Marquette) and Tim Greimel (Auburn Hills) posed with the chair on the House Floor.
A spokesperson from Representative Dianda’s office said they hope to use this opportunity to show the excitement for FinnFest events in June.
