United Way reaches fundraising goal

There is a lot of hard work that goes into reaching a fundraising goal.  And that is what the United Way of Marquette County accomplished for the second year in a row.

They have reached their goal of $425,000 fundraising goal for the year.  Co–chair of the United Way Mark Canale says the money raised shows how gracious the people of Marquette County are, especially in tough economic times.

Funds will help support 28 Marquette County organizations, including Lutheran Social Services and Big Brothers Big Sisters.  The organizations will each get a portion of the money raised.
