ORV Tele-conference in Upper Michigan
Several Upper Peninsula communities took part in a State Senate Committee meeting today without having to travel to Lansing.
Six locations were able to participate in the Senate Natural Resources, Environment and Great Lakes Committee meeting,
Testimony was heard on a proposal by Senator Tom Casperson to allow ORV riders to access state highways and cross bridges when necessary.
The bill would also allow an ORV free sticker weekend and make changes to the DNR’s group event permit process.
The cities of Hancock, Escanaba, Iron Mountain, Manistique, and Ironwood participated in the teleconference.
